Today, IMI sources or ships to over 45 countries around the globe, and along with our partners and affiliates, we deliver over 10 million tons of bulk materials annually providing creative, and economical real-time solutions to any logistical challenge our customers may face. Our products include natural and synthetic gypsum, bauxite, iron ore and iron fines, cement, clinker, coal, pet-coke, bio-fuels, slag and salt.

IMI fosters a healthier global environment through its product offerings and partnerships.

Our partnership with the Diproinduca Group facilitates the remediation of steel industry landfills through the reclamation of iron fines and other steel-making waste products for beneficial use.

Our affiliate Synthetic Materials, LLC (Synmat) designs and builds synthetic gypsum and fly ash dewatering systems and provides dewatering and water treatment O&M services to the coal-fired electric utility industry in the U.S., supporting the efforts of this industry to produce clean emissions from the coal combustion process. IMI works closely with Synmat to market and deliver synthetic gypsum for beneficial use in the cement, wallboard and agriculture industries.

Through our sourcing and sales of our bio-fuels product – palm kernel shells (PKS) – we support the efforts of the European electric utility industry to reduce its carbon footprint by replacing the burning of coal with PKS in the generation of electricity for the European market.
